The CARAT+, an annual Antwerp diamond show was due to be held from 10-12 February 2019 has been postponed due to ‘declining commitment of buyers and sellers as exhibitor or visitor’, the organiser Filip Van Laere and Dirk Blommaert said and added that they would focus on cracking the code of how to attract more exhibitor and visitor. The show garnered 130 exhibitors and over 3000 visitors in 2017. However, holding a successful trade show in a long run is a tough row to hoe, given that Baselworld, the world's largest watch and jewellery fair has been stumbled over 18 quitting watch brands. It is an indication of the trade show industry going through a rough patch.
