Mountain Province Diamonds recover a 95-carat diamond from the Gahcho Kué mine located in Canada, the fourth largest stone from the mine since the two years commencement.
Mountain Province Diamonds owns 49 percent of Gahcho Kué mine with De Beers Canada owns the rest. Reid Mackie, Vice President Diamond Marketing, said: “The recovery of this diamond firmly establishes Mountain Province as a reliable producer of exceptional, high quality, Canadian diamonds in very large sizes and bodes well for the future discovery of similar gems.”
The diamond will be offered at the company’s upcoming tender with viewings to be held from 11-22 June in Antwerp.
