Fei cui claims star lot again

04-06-2018

After the Phillips auction last week, fei cui jewellery continued to lead Tiancheng International’s sale yesterday.

An important fei cui bangle of fine texture, magnificent luminescence and even emerald green hue (photo) was sold for HK$56 million or US$7.2 million. Harry Winston's diamond necklaces featuring Burmese rubies and Colombian emeralds fetched HK$28 million and HK$13 million respectively, claiming the second and third top lots in the auction. The Princess Pink 5.03-carat fancy light orangy pink diamond achieved HK$5.6 million.

Tiancheng’s managing director Wang Jie and jewellery department director Steward Yeung said after the auction: “The spectacular price achieved by the jadeite bangle today demonstrates the strong demand for fine jadeite in the market. Our handpicked exquisite coloured gemstones and jewellery from renowned brands such as Harry Winston and Boucheron attracted fierce biddings.”

The sale fetched a total of HK$145 million. (Photo courtesy: Tiancheng International)
