Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo will present the Hong Kong Watch Auction: Six on 29 May 2018 featuring modern and vintage watches besides pocket watches and enamel clocks.
An important Patek Philippe Ref 2438/1 18-karat pink gold perpetual calendar watch with moon phases and screw back (photo 1) estimate HK$3.5-7 million (US$450,000-900,000).
A rare and early Rolex Sea-Dweller Ref 1665 without valve (photo 2) is believed to be another highly sought-after item at the sale, estimate HK$4-8 million. According to the auction house, there are less than ten pieces of such are known. A Bulgari Serpenti lady’s bracelet watch in pink gold, white enamel and diamond-set has never appeared for sale publicly.
