The Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) has appointed Michael L. Kaplan as the new chairperson, takes over from Todd Wolleman. “We are very excited to have Mike as our chairman and look forward to his oversight and guidance,” said JBT president Richard Weisenfeld, who took over last month.
Kaplan has devoted himself to the jewellery industry for over half century. He is the president of RocketJewelry Box, a New York-based jewellery packaging and display company and has served as a board member of Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA); past president, past chairman, and board member of the New York 24K Club; past president, secretary, and board member of Plumb Club; and scholarship board of the Women’s Jewelry Association.
JBT is a not-for-profit organization provides commercial credit information, collections, marketing services and data and statistics related to jewellery industry to its member.
