Christie’s announced the appointment of Vickie Sek (photo) to be chairman of Jewellery Asia today.
Former deputy chairman of the division, Sek is an experienced auction specialist responsible for the successful jewellery sales in Asia over the past 23 years. The gemstones and jewellery she selected have been sought after for collectors around the globe. Her expertise, understanding of a complex market, international approach and level of client service are exceptional, according to Christie’s.
“As a key contributor to our global results, Vickie Sek has been responsible for the growing activity of top Asian buyers in our salerooms, not only in Hong Kong, but also in Geneva, London, New York and Paris.
