The 25th JMA Hong Kong recorded a 15-percent growth in the number of buyers with a 20-percent increase in booth number.

Held 30 November – 3 December 2017, the expanded jewellery show added Hall 3FG to its fairground while introducing a brand new Bridal Jewelry Gallery. Workshops on ring box and corsage making were held to draw visitors.

The JMA International Jewelry Design Competition 2017 award presentation ceremony was held on 30 November during the fair reception. Peter Lam Jewellery Ltd got three awards including open group I champion, best craftsmanship and Tahitian pearl award, while Edelweiss Jewellery Company Ltd won open group II champion and my favourite jewellery design award. Winning designs were modelled by 10 Miss Jewelry Hong Kong 2017 candidates.

Winners of the beauty pageant were announced at the annual dinner on 1 December. The champion, the 1st runner-up and the 2nd runner-up went to Kimmy Low, Kaye Cheung and Yuki Leung respectively.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show organiser Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association (HKJMA), new initiatives including the Hong Kong Jewelry Industry Outstanding Achievement Award, Youth Sub-committee and Jewelry Workshop will be launched in 2018. (Photo courtesy: HKJMA)
