World’s #1 HK watch fair to open on 5 Sept

The 36th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC), the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades and Industries Ltd will be held during 5-9 September 2017 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. A press conference was held on 29 August highlighting the features of the world’s largest trade show of a kind.

A record number of 827 exhibitors in total from 24 countries and regions will be showcasing their latest innovations during the five-day show. Salon de TE is home to nearly 150 international designer watch brands spreading across five themed zones namely World Brand Piazza, Chic & Trendy, Craft Treasure, Renaissance Moment and Wearable Tech. In order to meet a wider audience, Salon de TE will welcome the public on 9 September, last date of the show.

Collaborating with Prince Jewellery & Watch Company for the eighth consecutive year, World Brand Piazza will feature 13 world-renowned brands including Breguet, Chopard, Piaget, together with four new-to-the-show Jacob & Co, Jaquet Droz, Juvenia and Montblanc. Jacob & Co’s 18-karat white gold Billionaire tourbillon watch set with a total of 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds priced at HK$160 million is believed to be a centre of interest for visitors, said TDC’s deputy executive director Benjamin Chau at the press event.

Capitalising on the persisting trend of wearable tech, the show will display a wide spectrum of innovative smart watches at the Wearable Tech zone. Also an attention seeker, PRiSM Slim Smart Series developed by KaHa Pte Ltd from Singapore integrates smart technology and analogue interface.
