A yellow gold diamond starburst ring took the grand prize of the 2017 JCK Jewelers’ Choice Award (JCA), the fourth year in a row that the honour went to a ring. Results of the 10th annual jewellery design competition were announced on 31 March 2017.
The 14-karat yellow gold ring with 0.58 carat pavé-set diamonds was from Shy Creation’s Kate collection which won the best ring design (under US$2,500) category as well. Other creations from the company also stole retailers’ votes for best bridal design (US$2,501-$5,000 and under US$2,500), men’s jewellery (over US$1,000), best bracelet design (US$2,501-$10,000), best earring design (under US$2,500), best necklace design (US$2,501-$10,000), best price point (under US$500), coloured diamond jewellery (under US$2,500), diamond jewellery (under US$2,500), coloured stone jewellery (under US$2,500), and personalized jewellery (under US$1,000).
