Italian “Fashion Jewels” staged in Shenzhen

Organized by Arezzo Fiere e Congressi and Shenzhen Yuehao Jewelry Co Ltd, “Oro d’Autore – Fashion Jewels” exhibition was held from 11 to 13 March in Shenzhen featuring a unique collection of “Made in Italy” jewellery.

Thirty art jewellery pieces made by Arezzo based goldsmith companies such as Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Giorgio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Krizia and Vivienne Westwood were showcased aiming to promote Italian jewellery in the Asian countries. The fashion designers use precious metals instead of fabric materials to express their creativity and aesthetics.

Andrea Boldi, president of Arezzo Fiere e Congressi said to Hong Kong Jewellery: “We have a wealth of great jewellery tradition and creativity that should be emphasized in the world. The collaboration with our Chinese partner gives us another opportunity to present our culture and excellence in China, the real made in Italy and made in Tuscany's jewellery."

“Italy is among the best known brands worldwide.  We create  gold jewellery with tailored emotions. The precious creations and the outcome of our craftsmanship are the most concrete representation of our manufacturing capability. Our goldsmith tradition sets us apart in the world,” he added.

Launched in 1987, the project of “Oro d’Autore” combines the creativity and craftsmanship of Italian and international artists in order to raise the profile of “Made in Italy” contemporary jewellery. After the stage in Shenzhen, the show will be moved to Beijing and Nanjing at new commercial events co-organized by Shenzhen Yuehao Jewelery Co Ltd.

“We are considering the opportunity to make the exhibition travel to further international venues. We will do this through ‘Gold Up’,  which will debut in Italy at the next edition of OROAREZZO 2014. This is a brand new facility that will recall  the shape of a gold ingot,” he said.

Supported by the companies from Arezzo, Florence, Vicenza and Valenza, the collection of “Oro d’Autore” is now consisting of more than 300 jewellery pieces. A selection of this collection will be displayed at OROAREZZO international jewellery show from 5 to 8 April 2014.
