Sotheby’s HK fine timepieces mid-season sale fetches US$1.41m

Sotheby’s Hong Kong fine timepieces mid-season sale concluded on 28 November 2016, totaling HK$11 million (US$1.41 million). Of all 151 lots offered, a total of 111 lots were sold, achieving 74 percent sold by lot and nearly 80 percent sold by value.

Jessie Kang, head of watches, Sotheby’s Asia, commented on the auction: “We were delighted to see enthusiastic participation from 31 different countries and regions, with bidders active in the room, on the phones and online responding to the broad range of fine timepieces on offer. We now look forward to our forthcoming New York Important Watches sale on 7 December.”
