The century-old Czech crystal supplierPreciosa’s crystal components, turned a new page of its partnership with Kevolie, a high-end wedding gown boutique, led by Kev Yiu, the winner of Ten Outstanding Designers award, and actress Myolie Wu. In the latest series of Haute Couture, the designer collided with Preciosa’s extraordinary world of crystals, sparks were bound to fly - The Golden Era collection was successfully debuted at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal on 16 June 2016.
Apart from Kevolie’s couturier Kev Yiu and his partner, Myolie Wu, an array of famous fashion designers, super models and celebrities of the town have joined to take a preview at the new collection inspired by the Roaring 1920s. The guests were stunned by the gowns crafted by unsurpassed mastery dazzling with around 50,000 crystals.
Followed by the two parties’ last collaboration for Myolie Wu’s wedding gowns, the collectionincludes 11 evening and wedding gowns named The Golden Era, luxuriously shimmering embellishments that gave the collection a sharp extravagant and lavish character. Kev Yiu talked about his inspiration of the collection: “The Roaring 1920s is a prosperous era which the nobles and bourgeoisies indulged in a superior life with beautiful garment. To precisely re-illustrate the picture of the Golden Era, I rely on thousands of shining Preciosa crystals to embroider on 11 gowns.”
