Made in Arezzo gold jewellery on stage in Vicenzaoro Dubai

The second edition of Vicenzaoro Dubai (VOD), the international gold jewellery show organised by DV Global Link – the joint venture between Fiera di Vicenza (FdV) and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) – is open from 14 to 17 April 2016 at the DWTC. A selected group of companies from the gold district of Arezzo and other provinces in Tuscany is ready to exhibit for the first time.

This presence is the first result of the new “Vicenza-Arezzo” axis, which takes shape in the Middle East and has been organised with the support of Arezzo Fiereand the cooperation of the Arezzo Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Trade Commission (ITA).

Ample space will also be given to OroArezzo, which has chosen to be at VOD with an exclusive set of exhibiting companies from OroArezzo, appearing on this fundamental international stage for the first time, bringing only the top products from their collections.

“The Arab market is undergoing a period of stagnation which, due to the complex political situation in this zone, is reflecting negatively on our businesses," said the president of Arezzo Fiere, Andrea Boldi. “But this remains the primary and the most strategic market for the ‘Made in Italy’ brand. Hence, in times of crisis, it is necessary to safeguard this situation with unrivalled events such as Vicenzaoro Dubai. I am confident that with the commitment of the territories, soon this event will be the most important opportunity for the presence of Italian firms in these markets.”

For this second edition of VOD, there are about 500 exhibitors from Italy, India, the UAE, Turkey, Hong Kong, the USA, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Jordan and Europe. Dubai represents a unique opportunity for companies in the sector, gaining privileged access to the rich markets of the Middle East, an area among the first in the world for gold demand.
