The JCK 2014 Platinum Innovations Awards is calling for entries. All submission forms and product images must be received by 10 April 2014.
This year marks the fifth edition of the annual design awards. A new category is introduced. "PGI-USA challenges all designers to create one new platinum jewellery piece inspired by the traditional 5-year anniversary gift of wood. Get in tune with nature, and incorporate this theme into your unique platinum pieces," says organizer Platinum Guild International (PGI).
The contest welcomes participations of the 2014 JCK Las Vegas and Luxury shows exhibitors who are going to take part in two judging rounds: round one, Editor’s Choice, is scheduled for 7 May 2014 when over 40 editors from leading consumer, bridal and trade publications will vote for their favourite pieces at the New York City venue; round two, Buyer’s Choice, opens for buyers’ selections at the Las Vegas shows.
A Buyer’s Choice and an Editor’s Choice award will be presented in each of the following categories:
- Fifth Anniversary Platinum Innovation Awards Challenge
- Platinum Engagement Ring
- Entry Platinum Engagement Ring (under US$2,500 retail)
- Platinum Wedding Band
- Platinum Men’s Jewelry
- Everyday Platinum Fashion Jewelry (women’s)
- Platinum Red Carpet Jewelry
- AGTA Platinum and Colored Gemstone Jewelry
