CTF’s 85th anni finale in Shanghai

Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited (CTF), a world’s leading jeweller with 85 years of history, staged the finale to its 85th anniversary celebration with a special high jewellery exhibition and show at the China Arts Museum in Shanghai on 28 November 2014. Hosted by Dr Henry Cheng, chairman, and joined by managing director Kent Wong, executive directors Adrian Cheng, Conroy Cheng, Chan Sai Cheong, Peter Suen and Hamilton Cheng, the gala night also drew luminaries from the worlds of jewellery, fashion, business and media.

Since announcing its anniversary festivities earlier this year, CTF has embarked upon a campaign to showcase its 85 years of development, heritage and global vision worldwide. At the gala night, CTF exhibited a multitude of signature masterpieces. Among them were the crossover jewellery art-pieces in collaboration with four industry leaders exclusively for the 85th anniversary, each interpreting a specific element of the theme of ‘The Red Universe’. Platinum Guild International (PGI), World Gold Council (WGC), Forevermark and Rio Tinto Group each designed a piece celebrating, respectively, ‘Water’, ‘Earth’, ‘Man’, and ‘Light’. Bringing together the entire collection was a final masterwork, the ‘Fire’ necklace from Hearts On Fire (HOF). In addition, the group’s one-of-a-kind auction jewellery art-pieces from the Danseuse de Ballet, Ombre di Milano, and Reflections of Siem collections were also showcased at the event.

“Looking back on the past 85 years, Chow Tai Fook’s philosophy has consistently centred on authenticity, trustworthiness, and quality – values that in these eight-plus decades have won the hearts and minds of our loyal customers across all of Greater China,” said Dr Cheng.

Purchased by CTF in June 2014, HOF announced its debut launch in mainland China on 27 November as part of CTF’s celebration programmes. The launch party was hosted by Adrian Cheng, HOF’s director and board member, CEO Glenn Rothman and special guest Olivia Palermo.

“We are very confident about the prospects for HOF in mainland China. As demand for diamond jewellery continues to increase here, HOF will become a household name, known not only for its extraordinary diamond cutting process, but also the luxury lifestyle it represents,” said Adrian Cheng at the event.

According to Cheng, HOF will open its first standalone image store in Shanghai, following by points of sale in Hong Kong, Macau, Nanjing and Hainan.
