Christie’s HK watch sales in Nov

Christie’s Hong Kong will offer two live auctions of timepieces on 27 November 2021 with a total low estimate of HK$188 million.

Coming first in the afternoon is ‘An Exceptional Season of Watches Including The Champion Collection (Part 1)’ which features 201 lots. The complete Champion Collection comprises around 500 modern and contemporary timepieces. Among the 17 lots for the evening sale ‘Timeless Marvels’ are enamel masterpieces thought to be from Piguet & Capt, Andries Vermeulen and Charles-Abraham Bruguier the younger, repeaters, rare modern watches and vintage marvels from Patek Philippe, rare pocket watches and dome clocks, etc.

Held concurrently with the auctions is a non-selling exhibition of ‘The Triazza Collection’ comprising five magnificent Patek Philippe timepieces: Ref 2330 observatory tested; the Esmond Bradley Martin Ref 605 HU cloisonné dial ‘North America’; Ref 2523 with cloisonne enamel North America map; the ‘Eric Clapton’ Ref 2499 in platinum, the only one in private hands; and Ref 2499 Double Signed Tiffany & Co.

Public preview in Hong Kong is scheduled for 18-20 November 2021 at Christie’s Hong Kong’s headquarters at Alexander House, 26-27 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
