The Gemmological Association of Hong Kong (GAHK) has recently launched the ‘Fei Cui Standard Website’ in a bid to make the content of the standard and other information related to fei cui more accessible to industry practitioners and the general public. To mark the significant launching moment, GAHK invited industry leaders worldwide to an online meeting on 20 April 2021.
The website (feicui.gahk.org) comes as an exhaustive resource packed with knowledge and facts about fei cui, the ‘Standard Methods for Testing Fei Cui for Hong Kong’, testing report templates, etc.
The evening online meeting was started with a video show of warm greetings from international industry veterans which was followed by an opening speech by the association’s chairman Eddie Fan and chief academic advisor of Fei Cui Standard Project Professor Mimi Ouyang.
Rounds of enlightening presentations focusing on the internationalisation of the fei cui standard were delivered by renowned industry gurus including Dr Edward Liu, Kent Wong, chairman of Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths’ Association, Dr Gaetano Cavalieri, Cibjo’s president, Dr Yang Lixin, director of NGTC’s Standardization Office, etc.
