Tissot has revisited its 1970s vibe by reissuing the iconic PRX series. To mark the stellar moment, the brand has turned the Harbour City store in Hong Kong into a time machine bringing back customers to the glorious and fun past.
Paying tribute to the PRX watches first launched in 1978, the 40 mm PRX 40 205 quartz comes with an integrated bracelet. The barrel-shaped case houses a smooth, slender and round bezel. As suggested from the name, “PRX” stands for “precise”, “robust” and “10 in Roman numerals” which indicates a 10-bar (or 100-meter) water resistant level. Three models with a different dial are available in the new PRX series, including a blue sunburst dial, a black sunburst dial and a vertically-brushed satin-finish silver-gray dial.
To better engage with the brand’s lovers, Tissot has launches different live and online campaigns including the #MY1978TISSOTMOMENT Best Vintage Style Award. Participants can upload photos dressed in 70s or 80s style and tag Tissot’s Facebook page and the hashtag. ‘Space Invaders’, a popular arcade game in the 1970s, is installed at the Harbour City store.
