The Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA) held a sharing session for the public on fei cui appreciation at a consumer fair in Hong Kong yesterday.
Hosted by Kitty Chan, head of HKJJA’s laboratory and technology committee and sales manager of Sheentiff Jewellery Ltd, the well-attended session titled ‘Essentials of Fei Cui Appreciation’ came as a highlighted event of the HKTDC Lifestyle ShoppingFest. A fei cui veteran, Chan took the audience through an eye-opening journey to understand fei cui as a valuable and auspicious gemstone. In the 45-minute educational session, she talked about the differentiation of type A, B and C fei cui, varieties, symbolic meanings, certification, etc.
In a bid to boost interactions with the audience, a piece of type A fei cui with a certificate from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory was given to those who played a part in Q & A.
