16-03-2021

This year, Sotheby’s Hong Kong will stage its jewellery spring sale on 20 April 2021 at Sotheby’s Gallery at Pacific Place. Leading the sale are two exquisite bracelets – a phenomenal diamond and rock crystal bracelet from Cartier and an exceptional fei cui bangle.

The art deco bracelet from Cartier (photo 1) from the high jewellery collection L’Odyssée de Cartier – Parcours d’un Style features a 63.66-carat, D colour, IF diamond set amongst rock crystal (estimate: HK$ 40,000,000-65,000,000/ US$5,160,000-8,390,000). The ‘Circle of Happiness’ fei cui bangle from Burma (photo 2) weighs 277.67 carats with a subtle range of green to vivid green colours and an outstanding translucency.

Other treasures from the auction include the ‘Dam’ fancy intense purplish pink diamond and diamond ring from Sotheby’s Diamonds (photo 3; estimate: HK$42 million – 55 million), a Cartier 23.48-carat fancy deep pinkish orange diamond and diamond ring (estimate: HK$33 million – 48.5 million), a Boucheron Burmese 6.38-carat ruby and diamond ring (estimate: HK$12.8 million – 17 million)

Starting 17 March, auction highlights can be previewed in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore and Taipei before exhibiting in Hong Kong 16-19 April. (Photo courtesy: Sotheby’s)
