The 2020 Platinum Design DNA Awards, co-organised by the Platinum Guild International (PGI) and US-based Pratt Institute, has recently revealed winners. The new contest aims to introduce participating jewellery design students to the precious white metal.
Winners
First prize: Celine Dussaud, ‘Hexagonal’ ear climbers with pearls (photo 1)
Second prize: Aditi Sabavala, ‘Budding’ earpieces (photo 2)
Third prize: Maria Baquerizo, ‘Lianas’ earrings with emeralds (photo 3)
Winners have the opportunity to work with US manufacturers to produce their designs. Finished pieces will be displayed at the Pratt Design Show scheduled for spring 2021.
