The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will kick off its first ever virtual International Gem & Jewellery Show (e-IGJS) dedicated for international buyers from 18th to 22nd January 2021.
GJEPC chairman Colin Shah explained the urge tohost the online fair: “Global markets like the US, Europe, China and other Asian countries are witnessing increasing demand for gems and jewellery. The Thanksgiving Day spending in the US rose by nearly 22 percent year-over-year to US$5.1 billion, hitting a new record, with a 37 percent jump in online sales in Q3 of FY2021.”
Over 200 Indian gem and jewellery exporters will be brought together in the show. Products include fine and affordable jewellery, gold, platinum and silver jewellery, loose diamonds and gemstones, etc. GJEPC expected around 600international buyers consisting of wholesalers, retailers, importers and exporters from all sectors of the jewellery industry worldwide will attend.
