Swiss watchmaker Hublot has recently brought the world a rainbow in the sky after a storm. The Big Bang Unico Full Baguette King Gold Rainbow chronograph is set in 18-karat rose gold with 290 gemstones in total.
The 45mm case is accented with 100 gemstones including rubies, coloured sapphires, amethysts, blue topazes and tsavorites. A total of 112 baguette-cut gemstones were set on the bezel, with another 48 and 30 coloured gemstones are found on the dial and the buckle respectively.
Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe said: "It requires meticulousness, expertise and dexterity to obtain this harmonious gradation of the gemstones and create a perfect connection between the emotion they arouse and the watchmaking technique. Draughtsmen, gemologists and setters worked together to achieve this setting in which pink gold is present only to gently emphasise the contours. The Big Bang Unico Full Baguette King Gold Rainbow condenses the purity and precision of these incredible professions."
