De Beers’ lab-grown diamond jewellery brand Lightbox will be available in 10 independent jewellers in the United States and Canada, encompasses 28 stores.
The set-to-retail brands include Riddle’s Jewelers, Diamond Cellar, DeVons Jewelers, Padis Jewelry, etc. The entire list can be found here. Lightbox’s commercial director Nicky Smart said: “These stores have developed strong local connections with their communities and we very much want to be a part of that.”
Offering jewellery with pink, white and blue diamond weighing from 0.25 carat to 1 carat, Nick stressed that Lightbox discouraged and hope retailers would not position one-carat lab-grown diamond ring as low-cost engagement rings.
Physical presence of the lab-grown diamond jewellery is achieved by the newly commenced production facility in Oregon. It is estimated to reach full production toward the end of the first quarter of 2021. 200,000 carats of polished lab-grown diamonds will be produced each year once the facility is fully running.
