A diamond shared coin by Royal Canadian Mint

In collaboration with Crossworks Manufacturing and Forevermark diamonds, the Royal Canadian Mint releases a diamond-shaped coin, decorated with a 0.20-carat square-cut diamond

 

The coin is made from three ounces of 99.99 percent pure silver. There is a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the table and words “Canada,” “2020” and “50 dollars” on the crown side facets with one facet embedded diamond which is from Northern Ontario’s Victor Mine before its closing in 2019.

 

According to the company, it took over a year to design and develop the new coin. The coin is limited to 700 pieces and retails for CA$1,499. There are nine other coins have been launched in March including: $20 Fine Silver Coin – Bejewelled Bugs featuring a ladybug paved with garnets and sapphires.
