Fears over coronavirus amid 709 cases and 25 deaths have been detected in more than 30 states of the United States as of 9 March, have forced the cancelation of Gemological Institute of America (GIA)'s career fair and the JA New York Spring Show.
The GIA Jewelry Career Fair was due to take place on March 13. “We will look for a future date to reschedule the event,’ said GIA. While the JA New York Spring Show originally hold from 15 to 17 March will provide a further arrangement in the soon future.
On the other hand, he March edition of the Atlanta Jewelry Show will take place as planned from 7 to 9 March. “We have not experienced any effects from the coronavirus as it pertains to anticipated attendance,” an AJS spokesperson said. Besides, JCK Las Vegas and sister show Luxury, when will run from 2 to 5 June and 31 May to 5 June respective, will also go on as scheduled.
