Japanese watchmaker Grand Seiko marks its 60th anniversary with four newly launched watches: Heritage Collection Hi-Beat 36000 LE SBGH281, Heritage Collection Quartz Limited Edition SBGP007, Elegance Collection Women's Automatic Limited Edition STGK015 and Sport Collection Quartz Limited Edition SBGP015, all featuring dials in Grand Seiko’s signature blue.
The unit for women STGK015 is the rarest of all of these limited editions, with only 300 pieces produced mounted 56 diamonds on its bezel and as hour markers. It retails in the highest piece among all for around US$10,925 and will be available in February. The SBGH281 which also will be launched in February is a male watch with the second most limited edition among the four at 1,500 pieces and retails for US$6,845. The watch pays homage to the historic 44GS from model 1967 that established the Grand Seiko style.
Grand Seiko pointed out the number 60 signifies “a moment of new energy and rebirth” in Japanese culture.
