Munich fair sees strong growth

10-01-2020

Inhorgenta Munich 2020 has recorded strong growth across the watch and jewellery sector, the number of international exhibitors and new brands in all segments also sees an increase, said organiser Messe München yesterday.

The International Trade Fair for Jewelry, Watches, Design, Gemstones and Technology scheduled for 14-17 February 2020 at Messe München, Munich, Germany, will be showcasing the latest watches, fine jewellery and gemstones at hall A, B and C from over 1,000 exhibitors from around the globe.

According to Messe München, the timepiece section Hall A1 is one of the growth areas with notable newcomers including Festina Group, Oris, Parmigiani, Casio, Citizen, Seiko, etc. The show’s exhibition director Stefanie Mändlein says: “With the new design of Hall A1 and the Watch Boutique, we were the gold standard last year, which was also the feedback we got from many customers right after the trade fair. That kind of feedback is very pleasing and it’s great when the numbers also reflect that appeal. We’re looking forward to the wonderful mixture of new and longstanding exhibitors in the Timepieces section.”

The number of jewellery exhibitors at hall B1 has grown by 22 percent, while booths at hall C1, the gemstone section, have already been sold out, said organiser.

International participation has registered a seven-percent growth. Klaus Dittrich, chairman and CEO of Messe München, says: “This year, we will once again be able to showcase a broad and international range of products to our visitors. The trade fair is steadily growing and the feedback from customers is proof that Inhorgenta Munich offers exactly the right mixture of order and communication platform and glamorous events.” (Photo courtesy: Messe München)
