The 49th Istanbul Jewelry Show (IJS) organised by Informa Markets at CNR Expo from 10 to 13 October saw a 12 percent yoy growth in the number of international visitors.
Accounted for 51 percent of the total visitors, more than 20,000 visitors from 127 countries and regions were welcomed to the show with more than 800 exhibitors. The number of Africans rocketed 164 precent, followed by North Americans increased by 41 percent, 11 percent for Asian countries, 10 percent for Middle Eastern countries and 8 percent for European countries. UBM Rotaforte founding partner, Şermin Cengiz, comments: “We broke a record by hosting over 50 thousand jewellery buyers at our exhibitions in 2019.
The ASEAN Gems & Jewellery Association Conference was hosted successfully by the Jewellery Exporters’ Association of Turkey two days before the opening of the show (8 to 12 October). Association delegates from over 30 countries and regions were invited.
The 50th Istanbul Jewelry Show will take place 19 to 22 March 2020.
