Tiffany to enter Indian market

8-8-2019

Tiffany & Co. plans to open new stores in Delhi and Mumbai in the second half of 2019 and 2020 respectively in partnership with Reliance Brands Limited run by Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani. Reliance has already brought over 40 international brands such as Hugo Boss, Zegna and Bally to India and operated 661 stores for them in the country.

“As a global luxury jeweller with stores in many of the world’s most important cities, Tiffany’s emergence in these Indian commerce centres with their growing luxury consumer base presents a unique opportunity,” said Philippe Galtié, executive vice president of global sales, Tiffany & Co.

Headquartered in New York, Tiffany operates over 320 stores in more than 25 countries with more than 80 in Asia-Pacific including Hong Kong and Japan.
