Fine fei cui to lead Tiancheng’s spring sale

07-05-2019

A necklace comprising 43 translucent fei cui beads of intense green hue and fine texture is set to lead Tiancheng International’s jewellery and fei cui spring auction dated 29 May.

With an estimate of HK$18 million – 28 million (US$2.3 million – 3.6 million), the fine fei cui bead necklace (photo 1) scores very high in colour, texture and translucency. As the auction house puts it: “Jadeite that encompasses all three attributes is extremely precious.” A carefully selected assortment of natural fei cui bangles (photo 2) with emerald green colour and elegant contours makes the fei cui collection more appealing.

A pair of 5.12- and 5.03-carat natural unheated Burmese ‘pigeon’s blood’ ruby and diamond earrings (photo 3), a 20.09-carat natural unheated Mozambican ‘pigeon’s blood’ ruby and diamond ring (photo 4) and a 20.35-carat natural unheated Burmese Mogok royal blue sapphire and diamond ring (photo 5) are among the hero lots with an impressive size from sought-after origins.

Connie Huang, head of Tiancheng International’s jewellery department, says: “We are thrilled to showcase treasures full of Chinese and Western charm and pieces by celebrated brands in this meticulously curated sale, such as the diamond demi-parure by Audemars Piguet. This dazzling set is a perfect marriage of refined diamonds and impeccable craftsmanship, which promises to be a delight for connoisseurs.”

Preview of the auction will be held 24-28 May at Tiancheng International’s headquarters in Central, Hong Kong.
