The 20th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths’ Association (HKJGA), Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA), Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers' Association (HKJMA) and the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong (DFHK) revealed winning pieces under the ‘Be Connected, Be United’ theme. This year, about 200 entries received in the open group and student group. Both the best of show award and Craftsmanship and Technology Award were given to Jane Li’s ‘We are ONE’. The brooch features a large fish, companying by a school of smaller fish alike glittering with diamond chips and coloured gemstones caught in the light, which symbolises the power of unity.
