Organised by the Shenzhen Luohu People's Government and Shenzhen Gold Jewelry Association, the 5th China (Shenzhen) International Jewelry Design Contest was officially announced on 14 September 2016. Themed “Free flow of thoughts”, the competition aims to provoke independent thinking and impact on the industry with creative designs. Jewellery design or manufacturing individuals, students, independent designers, workshops or professional institutes are welcome to join the contest as individuals or companies.
Requirements
Entries should present an overall simplistic, modern, innovative and practical style that stresses a combination of commerce and art while remaining producible and wearable. All entries must be original designs that had not been published in any format or entered into any kind of contests. All materials can be used. Designs of jewellery sets are encouraged by the organiser.
Categories and prizes
The contest is divided to professional and student categories. The winner of the innovation award will receive US$10,000 (professional) and US$5,000 (student).
How to apply
Submission can be made in original sketches, three-dimensional graphics, computer graphics, perspective renderings or photographs of sample or design model. File dimensions should be 210mm x 297mm.
