HK Sept fair to open up endless opportunities

The September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, dubbed the world’s largest fine jewellery exhibition, will launch its 2016 edition during 13-17 September at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), and 15-19 September at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

The effective sectorisation initiative which groups exhibits by category allows for easy navigation despite the large scale and wide range of exhibits. Under the initiative, all kinds of jewellery raw materials including diamonds, gemstones, pearls, and packaging, tools and equipment are housed at AWE, while finished jewellery is available at HKCEC.

The seven-day B2B event will turn Hong Kong into the world’s jewellery and gemstone trading hub with over 3,750 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions, according to show organiser UBM Asia. The show will feature the world’s biggest diamond pavilion, Asia’s biggest gemstones, pearl and antique & vintage jewellery pavilions.

According to UBM Asia, the September fair has the highest participation of key players in the world’s jewellery trade. Over 70 percent of buyers at the fair are from overseas. High level of visitor satisfaction was recorded with over 85 percent of respondents giving the Fair a rating of 7 out of 10 (excellent).

Themed pavilions featuring specific product categories include the Fine Gem Pavilion with 50 esteemed suppliers from the globe, the Fine Design Pavilion with more than 70 internationally-celebrated jewellers, the Hong Kong Premier Pavilion with nearly 30 top jewellers from the city, and the International Premier Pavilion where offers top-notch collections from over 70 industry giants.

Running alongside the September fair are pearl and diamond auctions, conferences, seminars, jewellery parades and cocktail receptions, offering visitors maximum networking and learning opportunities.
