The fine timepiece auction held by Sotheby’s Hong Kong on 29 November 2015 fetched a total of HK$11 million (US$1.4 million). The top three lots were a Patek Philippe platinum automatic minute repeater wristwatch Ref 5078P which sold for HK$2.3 million (US$290,000), a Van Cleef & Arpels Pont des Amoureux sold for HK$1.18 million (US$150,000) and an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Michael Schumacher sold for HK$590,000 (US$75,000). Sotheby’s Hong Kong 2015 annual auction total for watches is HK$268.9 million (US$34.5 million). Sharon Chan, Sotheby’s head of watches, Asia, said at the November auction: “The charming Van Cleef & Arpels diamond-set wristwatch Pont des Amoureux concluded the year beautifully almost doubling pre-sale estimate.”
