A new way to tell the diamond story

In the age where consumers request for more information about the products they buy, it is plausible that Sarine Technologies launched its latest digital diamond sales tool and solution for retail and trade, Sarine Profile™ in May 2015 to give customers and retailers a more flexible channel for communicating diamond properties such as ‘light performance’, ‘diamond imaging’ and ‘cut & craftsmanship’ in a customisable way to suit their individual needs. Michael Goren, managing director of the Asia Pacific region of Sarine emphasised that the millennials are not going to buy diamonds the same way as the current customers do, and that their product “caters to the next wave of ‘digitally-native’ customers”. While many consumers have heard of the 4Cs, most of them cannot understand the myriads of factors behind and this tool serves to bridge this gap. For instance, the ‘Light Performance’ section allows customers to choose a stone according to its brilliance, sparkle, fire and symmetry while the ‘Diamond Imaging’ section gives customers access to a magnified, three-dimensional view of diamonds. The tool adds value to the entire process of diamond purchase because it helps customers better understand “the effort that was invested across the entire diamonds value chain” so that “consumers realise the true story of their diamond, and it is not viewed as just an expensive stone,” Goren added.

Applicable to multiple channels including website, retail environment, printed materials and mobile platforms, Sarine Profile™ allows customers to present a particular diamond and its properties to his/her friends and families. By demystifying and concretising the beauty of diamonds, Sarine Profile™ opens up new dimensions in the practice of selling.
