The Fifth Season by Roberto Coin

The Fifth Season by Roberto Coin (referred to as TFS by RC in below), created by famous veteran Roberto Coin, represents a new generation of silver jewellery that is avant-garde in design but still contains the ancient soul of traditional Italian artists. ”I always love facing new challenges and TFS by RC has been one of them. We tried to create something new in order to reach a modern generation with a strong sense of elegance and fashion who is demanding a more affordable option of creative jewellery,” said Roberto Coin to Hong Kong Jewellery.

Roberto Coin has smoothly transferred his experience and instinct with modernity to TFS by RC by adding surprising nuances and meanings to the concept of elegance, which are interpreted in the collections through volumes and lines that are at once extreme and refined. The brand communicates current and future rhythms and is at the same time aware of traditions and sensitive to society’s continuous evolution. TFS by RC has also inherited the signature Roberto Coin small ruby that is incorporated in each piece of jewel as a symbol to wish the wearer a happy and long life.

When asked to name his favourite artist, Coin said he could not choose one as there are so many different kinds of arts. “I can give you the name of a great artist who has never been considered like this, Albert Einstein. I love his artistic way of living,” he said nonetheless. Equally surprising is the aesthetics of his brand, which originates an unexpected creativity expressed by the preciousness of silver in different colours. Referring to the 5.10 collection as “one of the greatest success of the brand”, Coin said when he was designing the collection, he was “looking for something super innovative with a link to the contemporary art and the metropolitan dynamism of today’s world” and it was his son Carlo who realised his vision by “using the most modern high technology and introduction of unusual materials”.

Within only four years since the brand was launched at the end of 2011, TFS by RC is now being sold in over 30 countries and regions across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Coin’s team has been very meticulous in selecting retailers to work with and their choice has proved to be rewarding both for establishing their brand identity and achieving commercial goals. High quality and precise Italian artisanal manufacturing used in gold creations of Roberto Coin was adopted in TFS by RC. Such excellence in craftsmanship, which is rare in the silver industry, contributes to the brand’s immense success.

Currently the brand’s biggest markets are Spain and the United States. Regarding future development, Coin said his team is working on a new marketing campaign that also focuses on markets like India, China and Japan where the brand is receiving strong demand.
