Christie’s New York magnificent jewels auction was held on 14 April 2015. The sale was concluded with a total of nearly US$42 million. The top lot, a fancy intense purplish pink diamond of 5.29 carats, was sold for US$5,762,000, marking US$1,090,000 per carat. A four-strand natural pearl necklace achieved a world record for a natural coloured pearl necklace of US$5,093,000. A Graff pear-shape D-colour diamond pendant of 25.49 carats was sold for US$3,413,000.
