Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba will collaborate with Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) to offer Antwerp diamonds to Chinese e-shoppers via Alibaba’s Tmall platform, Shape of Antwerp Online Flagship Store. The store is created as a form of partnership by HRD Antwerp and Alibaba, a diamond certification company with laboratories of AWDC. Each diamond is lasered a QR code on its girdle and carries a HRD Antwerp certificate detailing its 4Cs, allowing customers to track the journey of the diamond through code scanning.
