Vicenzaoro January Exceeds Expectations With Record Attendance

Italian Exhibition Group (IEG)’s international gold and jewellery show Vicenzaoro January 2023 closed on 24 January at Vicenza Expo Centre. The attendance is an all-time record which is up 11.5 percent, compare to the pre-pandemic edition of January 2020.

 

According to IEG, foreign buyers doubled compared to 2022 winter edition (+105 percent). Foreign attendance was close to 60 percent of the total from 136 countries around the world, with Europe accounting for 54.5 percent, the Middle East (9.5 percent), Asia (9 percent), North America (7.2 percent), Africa (5.4 percent) and Latin America (4.7 percent). Italian attendance from all regions was also positive, showing an increase of over 20 percent compared to pre-pandemic times.

 

The organiser officially announced, during the show period, the start of the work aimed at giving the Vicenza Expo Centre a new look that will be more welcoming and responsive to the needs of a community that has made Vicenza its reference point.


T. Gold, the international gold and jewellery technology and machinery show saw a 10-percent increase in exhibition space. VO Vintage, the vintage watch and jewellery event which was open to the B2C public, consolidated its success and attracted collectors, experts and watch lovers from Italy and the globe.

 

A total of 1,300 brands exhibited at the show and 400 foreign buyers were hosted, confirming the dynamism of Italian exports, up by 27.2 percent since September 2022.

 

The next edition of Vicenzaoro will be from 8 to 12 September 2023, and Oroarezzo during 13-16 May 2023 in the Italian city of Arezzo is already on the starting blocks. (Photo courtesy: IEG)
