Rolex’s 6 New Watches Unveiled at Watches & Wonders Geneva


At the Watches & Wonders Geneva 2022 held in hybrid mode between 30 March and 5 April, the Swiss brand introduced their latest timepieces in terms of colours, materials and movements. Let’s take a look. 


Datejust 31

The new Datejust 31 carrying the calibre 2236 movement features 24 flowers centred by a diamond. Three colours are available for purchase: white gold with blue dial and fluted bezel (pictured); yellow gold with green dial and diamond bezel; and two-tone Oystersteel and Everose gold with silver dial and diamond bezel.

Equipped with a power reserve of about 70 hours, the Air-King carries the calibre 3230 self-winding mechanical movement.The new model features the addition of the “0” before the “5” on the minutes scale for a more balanced look. The 3-6-9 numerals are white gold, applied on the dial and filled with Chromalight.

GMT-Master II

Rolex’s new GMT-Master II is the most amazing edition with a left-handed winding crown, moving the stem and date window to the 9 o’clock position. It is equipped with the 3285 calibre introduced in 2018. The Cerachrom bezel insert is rendered in green and black, a colour combination exclusive to this particular Rolex.

Day-Date 40

For the first time, the Rolex Day-Date 40 has the Rolex fluted bezel which is rendered in a solid block of 950 platinum and its classic President bracelet. It is equipped with the calibre 3255 movement.

Yacht-Master 42

The newest edition of Yacht-Master 42 with a calibre 3235 movement, created and cast in Geneva, is available in 18 carat yellow gold for the first time. It has a bidirectional rotating bezel, Oysterflex bracelet, a Cerachrom insert in matte black ceramic and optimized Chromalight display.

Yacht-Master 40

Inspired by the aurora borealis, the latest version of Yacht-Master 40,equipped with the calibre 3235 movement, is rendered in 18-karat white gold for the first time, with its rotating bezel featuring pink sapphire, light blue sapphire, purple sapphire and dark blue sapphire. The case is embedded with 46 diamonds.
