Blue diamonds to lead Christie’s HK autumn sale

Christie’s Hong Kong will stage its autumn sales from 25 November to 3 December 2021. The jewellery auction, Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels, is scheduled live for 28 November.

Leading the sale is a pair of platinum and gold earrings by Davis Morris (photo 1) set with a 3.06-carat and a 2.61-carat fancy vivid blue pear-shaped diamonds with fancy-shaped white diamonds, estimate HK$48 million - $65 million. Another blue highlight comes from a diamond ring (photo 2) set with a rare fancy vivid blue emerald-cut diamond of 3.32 carats, estimate HK$32 million - $50 million.

Also stealing the limelight is the Snowdrop diamond pendant necklace by Ronald Abram (photo 3), estimate HK$35 million - $55 million. The spectacular jewel features a 73.68-carat pear-shaped F colour IF diamond. A fei cui and ruby pendant necklace carrying a magnificent carved fei cui (photo 4) comes as the most notable fei cui lot in the sale, with an estimate of HK$25 million - $35 million.

Previews will be held 18-20 November at Christie’s Hong Kong’s headquarters at Alexandra House, and 25 November – 3 December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
