Japanese digital watch giant Citizen drops six Star Wars-themed watches featuring authentic elements of beloved characters: Rebel Pilot, Trench Run, C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
Named “Ana-Digi Star Wars”, the collection reimagines the 80s calculator timepiece vibe with vibrant colour palettes. The launched two are Rebel Pilot and Trench Run watch, retails for US$350 and $375 respectively. The former has Rebel Alliance symbol, pilot suit colours and helmet accents. The latter mimics TIE fighter screen view on its right dial and has an X-Wing on the upper left corner as well as TIE fighter graphics. Engraved at the rectangular case back are a Star Wars logo and an illustration of each character.
Functionally, the duo has two 12-hour sub-dials, three digital indications for current mode, date and temperature. The watches require a battery and only splash resistant.
Citizen will release the next four models in October and November. Fans of R2-D2, C-3PO, Darth Vader and Boba Fett, stay tuned. The US$375 C-3PO model is in striking gold with two identical analog dials which look exactly like the eyes of the droid. Stormtrooper and BB-8 models will be dropping in Japan.
