The World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) launches Responsible Sourcing Toolkit, a framework and guidance for the gemstone and precious metal community to conduct responsible sourcing, at www.cibjo.org/rs-toolkit.
9 modules comprised are as follows:
Module 1 Establish and Implement a Responsible Supply Chain Policy
Module 2 Supply Chain Due Diligence
Module 3 Know Your Counterparty and Anti-Money Laundering
Module 4 Know Your Counterparty and Bribery, Facilitation Payments
Module 5 Risk Management for “Conflict-Free” Sourcing
Module 6 Human Rights
Module 7 Product Integrity
Module 8 Early Warnings, Grievances and Whistle-Blowing
Module 9 Responsible Sourcing Certification
Most of the tools are downloadable and free of charge, including templates, forms, sample declarations and details, while a few of them require the support of third parties. CIBJO suggests users to complete the first four modules.
