IIJS Signature opens its door 7-12 April

5-3-2021

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will hold the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS Signature) from 7- 12 April at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.

Product sections included loose gemstones, gold jewellery, studded jewellery, synthetics and simulants, signature club, international company and lab and education. GJEPC expected to attract over 800 exhibitors and 18,000 visitors.

To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the show has extended from four days to six to limit the number of people in the centre. Companies beginning with the letters A to J will exhibit on days one to two, K to R on days three to four and S to Z on days five to six. Each company is granted no more than two entry badges. Attendees have to provide a negative Covid-19 test result from the past 72 hours before the show.

GJEPC chairman Colin Shah estimated there would be a surge in demand for gems and jewellery in the coming months, as the wedding season continues and the Akshaya Tritiya spring festival, a popular occasion for buying gold, is around the corner in May.
