IGI renews report design

25-9-2020

The International Gemological Institute (IGI) reveals a new design for all its natural diamond, coloured stone and jewellery reports, set to be available in October this year.

The refreshing look comes 45 years after the first diamond report issued in Antwerp, Belgium. Instead of portrait orientation, the report will be presented in landscape orientation on a tearless paper for greater durability.

Additionally, protective features Certieye and IGI seal have been added to enhance security against counterfeiting. According to IGI, Certieye is a tamper evident security label that authenticates the IGI seal.

IGI CEO Roland Lorie commented on the launch: “The Institute strives to be a revolutionary leader for the industry — from technology implementation, timely design changes and creating innovative service offerings — and provide services and offerings that are beneficial to the industry and diamond dealers around the world.”
