Blue diamond shines at Christie’s Geneva

Christie’s November Geneva auctions recorded a total of CHF71,326,249/ US$71,326,249. The jewellery sale achieved CHF55,278,250, with 12 lots selling over one million.

Highlighted the Magnificent Jewels auction was a fancy deep blue diamond of 7.03 carats, selling for CHF11,625,000, making it the most expensive piece of Jewellery sold this season. Another focus went to the 1952 diamond necklace by Sterlé which achieved CHF237,500.

Signed pieces by Cartier, JAR, Harry Winston, Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels attracted many private collectors to transact in the auction, according to Christie’s Geneva.
