Gemewizard launches online course Gem Color Academy to provide advanced knowledge for gemstone and coloured diamond jewellery industry.
Its syllabus covers grading, origin, treatments, evaluation and pricing of common gemstones including ruby, emerald, sapphire, aquamarine, alexandrite, garnet, spinel, tanzanite and tourmaline based on the company’s founders’ more than 40 years of gemological experience. Hundreds of gemstone images, online videos and interactive exercises in sorting, grading and pricing of gemstones are available for students as well as a mailed kit of 25 gemstone samples for practice.
"The goal we set ourselves in developing the course was that it should bridge the gap between theoretical gemology and commercial reality, where sometimes subtle variances in gem properties translate into substantial differences in value," explained Menahem Sevdermish, Gemewizard's President and a founder of the Gem Color Academy.
