Christie’s HK jewels and watches online

The spring edition of the jewellery and watch online sales held by Christie’s Hong Kong during April–May 2020 achieved highest-ever totals of HK$23.6 million.

 

The jewellery sale, from 28 April to 8 May, achieved a total of HK$10,935,375 with the top lot being a Cartier 18-karat yellow gold diamond necklace (photo 1) sold for HK$350,000, followed by a Graff 18-karat white goldcoloured sapphire and diamond earrings (photo 2) which realised HK$325,000. Eight-nine percent were sold by lot and 138 percent sold by value. Over 40 percent of lots were sold above high estimate.

 

Held 6 - 20 May, the watch session received a strong global participation from 27 countries and regions, with 54 percent were new buyers. Totalled HK$12,643,750, the sale recorded 96 percent sold by lot and 161 percent sold by value. Fifty-five percent of lots were sold above high estimate. Lots from the Important Private Asian Collection Part 2 were all sold. Top lot of the sale, a Hublot limited edition tourbillon MP-02 No 36/50 (photo 3), was sold for HK$687,500.
