Tiancheng Int’l jewellery & fei cui

Tiancheng International’s jewellery and fei cui autumn auction dated 3 December 2017 fetched a total of HK$221.5 million (US$28.4 million) and set a world auction record for Mozambican ruby jewellery.

One hundred and forty seven lots were sold out of a total of 254, with a sold rate of 77.12 percent

The world record was made by a pair of earrings featuring a 14.54- and a 13.12-carat Mozambican ‘pigeon’s blood’ rubies, pink diamonds and diamonds which was sold for HK$48 million. The top lot of the sale that achieved HK$67.8 million went to ‘The Red Romance’ diamond necklace set with 139.14 carats of natural unheated Burmese Mogok rubies. ‘Golden Tiger Eyes’, a pair of 5.02- and 5.01-carat natural fancy vivid yellow excellent polish and symmetry diamonds from a Zimmi mine was sold for HK$17.4 million.
